Characters Name: Iris
Age: 25
Canon: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Canon Point: One month before Bridge to the Turnabout
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight. Her one canon crush was on Phoenix Wright, and nothing else is known about her in terms of orientation.
History: Here!
Appearance: Here!
Personality: Iris is an individual with extremely small self-esteem, and doesn't have any issues taking the blame for her sister or people she knows, whether it was partially her fault or not her fault at all. Because of this, however, she doesn't have much of a backbone and will more often than not give in and not argue with people. She feels like she is a burden to everyone and the cause of their issues, whether it's true or otherwise. She has a very pessimistic view on herself and will generally shoot down any praise she gets unless it's heavily warranted. Due to this she is very protective of information about her past and things she would prefer to keep silent about, however she is terrible at keeping secrets. When she is bullied or berated enough, especially by her sister Dahlia, she will lose all the small courage she has and defer to their logic and reasonings, especially if it's something Iris was involved in. She is modest about herself (again because of the low self-esteem) and will praise others over herself in any situation. She doesn't believe she's actually good for anything, but will still help others in need as best she can.
Despite all of this, she is very kind and polite, and tries her best to be nice to everyone she meets, even if they're being mean or rude to her. Because of this, she's able to usually keep an optimistic view on anything or anyone that is not herself. Because of her kindness however, which can be described as 'sickly sweet', she's easy to manipulate, especially by anyone that knows her very well or she's good friends with. She's also easy to deceive, and usually will not think twice about the sincerity of anything she's told unless it's obvious otherwise. She's also fairly shy when she's embarrassed or flustered and will generally not start conversations unless she is simply greeting the person or has something to talk to them about.
Iris believes there is good in everyone, even a little bit, though others believe she is a poor judge of character because of this (when in reality she's a faily good judge of character, but doesn't actively show it). She tries to be considerate of others' feelings when talking to them, and though she will help others, she generally waits to ask unless she knows the person very well, just in case she's not butting into something she has no business knowing about.
When people believe in Iris and praise her, she feels somewhat confident. However, when it comes to people that do the opposite, and when she is put down by her twin sister Dahlia, she tends to hide herself and feel like she's the cause of everyone's issues. She's still atoning for the sins she made five years prior and due to this, she won't be feeling very good about herself for a long time.
Abilities: Iris has no special abilities that make her stand out in the crowd, other than being able to break physical psyche-locks (not the mental kind that require something like a Magatama to break).

First Person: [Accidental Video]
[The camera centers on a very confused-looking black-haired girl, blinking at the device in front of her.] Oh, so this is a camera... [She doesn't seem to realize it's on.]
So how does it work, then? Do I need to press a button to take a picture? [She's talking to someone else in the house.]
Oh, you mean it records video? So it's like a video camera, but connected to a computer. So how do I turn it on?
[The answer she receives apparently shocks her, as she looks back at the webcam and realizes it's on.] Oh! Um, oh my. My apologies! I did not realize it was already on.
Um, hello. My name is Iris. I am a shrine maiden at Hazakura. I seem to have been brought here by accident, and I'd like to know if there is any way I could return home. Sister Bikini needs me as we are preparing for a big event next month... and I think she would be in a panic if she suddenly was not able to find me.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. [The feed cuts off.]
Third Person:
This was definitely not the type of situation Iris thought she'd find herself in. It begged a lot of questions, and explanations that she knew she would never fully get. Still, at least it wasn't all bad. Some people that somehow knew her from home were here, and they kept her going. However, her sister was here and that meant good and bad things for her. She didn't really know how to take all of it. She knew she'd have to work to keep her sister from committing more crimes, but she also had to ask herself how comfortable she was with people knowing things about her she herself never spoke out about?
All this and more flooded her mind as she walked down the aisles of a holiday shop. It was just past Thanksgiving, and Christmas was right around the corner. If there was one thing Iris really wasn't good at, it was Christmas shopping. But she decided the best way to make it a bit easier was to start a bit earlier than she normally did. Back at home all she had to shop for was Sister Bikini and something to send her sister in jail. But now she had even more gifts to purchase for this year. If for no other reason, than to thank the others for making her feel welcome here. It was because of this that she was lost in thought, not really watching where she was going. So much to do, and so little time...
It was far too easy for her to bump into someone, nearly shoving them to the ground in shock. Iris reeled back, coming back down to Earth and realizing what she had just done. "O-Oh my, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?"
